Open Class Division General Rules
These rules apply for all Open Division Classes, Departments D thru P.
Special Rules will be listed in each department if there are any.
1.All non-perishable entries are to be entered Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 between 9:00 am and 5:00 p.m. Baking and Home Gardening entries will be accepted from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2009 and from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2009
2.Exhibitors may enter only in their age division
3.Items must be correctly identified with the correct name or the entry will be disqualified. Unlisted varieties will be entered in "other" category.
4.Each exhibitor shall be limited to 1 entry in each class.
5.Trophy awarded on point system as follows:
Best of Show -7 Points
Blue Ribbon- 5 Points
Red Ribbon -3 Points White Ribbon- 1 Point
Professionals will not be given Best of Show or Trophies.
6. Classes will be divided into the following groups:
Tiny Tots- 8 years. & underJuniors- 9 to 16 yrs.
Adults- 17 & Older
7.Every precaution will be taken for the safety of all entries, but in no case will the fair be responsible for loss or damages to any entry while it is in the possession of the fair.
8.Entries which are exhibited may be claimed upon presentation of claim check only on Sunday, August 30, 2009 AFTER 5:00 p.m.
Any exhibit remaining on the fairgrounds will become property of the fair, to be disposed of at the discretion of the VFMCI, unless prior arrangements have been made. If you take your exhibit out before it is released you will not be allowed to show the next year.
